The Department of Training & Placement at Govindrao Wanjari College of Engineering & Technology (GWCET), Nagpur serves as a strategic interface between academia and industry, dedicated to enhancing the employability and career prospects of our students. Under the leadership of Dr. Anil D. Tijare, Dean – Training & Placement, the department is committed to developing industry-ready professionals through systematic training, skill development, corporate engagement, and placement assistance.

Our focus extends beyond campus placements to nurturing competent professionals equipped with technical expertise, professional ethics, leadership qualities, and entrepreneurial mindset.

The department has established a robust ecosystem comprising Centre of Excellence initiatives, industry-supported technical training programmes, certification courses, aptitude and soft skills development, coding practice, mock interviews, group discussions, resume building workshops, career counselling, and industry interaction sessions. These initiatives ensure that students are well prepared to meet the dynamic requirements of the global workforce.

Every academic department has dedicated faculty and student Training & Placement Coordinators who work in close coordination with the T&P Department to facilitate recruitment drives, internships, industrial visits, expert lectures, live projects, and skill enhancement activities. The department also maintains strong relationships with recruiters to understand evolving industry expectations and continuously align student development programmes accordingly.
